How to take care of Apple Malus Elstar

Soak the roots for approx. 2 hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. This is a hardy deciduous Apple Malus Elstar shrub it’s leaves do not appear until late spring.

Flowers appear in late summer and early autumn. Apple Malus Elstar needs a sunny sheltered position to thrive in. In colder areas, plant Apple Malus Elstar near a south-facing wall. Protect Apple Malus Elstar from cold winds.

Use a well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Remove faded flower heads as they fade to prolong flowering. If Apple Malus Elstar is planted in pots, plant in spring. There will be little growth in the first year.

Apple Malus Elstar do well in various soil types. Apple Malus Elstar likes to be constantly moist, but not wet. Feed twice a month during the growing season and prune as necessary to control plant size.

Container-grown Apple Malus Elstar plants should be brought indoors in extreme winter conditions. Check Apple Malus Elstar plants periodically for pests such as aphids, white flies, and mealy bugs. Use a horticultural oil or insecticidal soap to control these pests.
