How to take care of Malus Gloster

Soak the roots for approx. 2 hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. This is a hardy deciduous Malus Gloster shrub it’s leaves do not appear until late spring.

Flowers appear in late summer and early autumn. Malus Gloster needs a sunny sheltered position to thrive in. In colder areas, plant Malus Gloster near a south-facing wall. Protect Malus Gloster from cold winds.

Use a well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Remove faded flower heads as they fade to prolong flowering. If Malus Gloster is planted in pots, plant in spring. There will be little growth in the first year.

Malus Gloster do well in various soil types. Malus Gloster likes to be constantly moist, but not wet. Feed twice a month during the growing season and prune as necessary to control plant size. Container-grown Malus Gloster plants should be brought indoors in extreme winter conditions.

Check Malus Gloster plants periodically for pests such as aphids, white flies, and mealy bugs. Use a horticultural oil or insecticidal soap to control these pests.
