How to take care of Aquilegia early Bird Blue and White
If supplied as bare root plants please soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant. For better results it is best to mix the soil with some organic matter and plant in clumps. Aquilegia early Bird Blue and White will benefit by placing mulch around the base each spring and remove faded flower heads to encourage new growth. Aquilegia early Bird Blue and White do not always produces flowers in their first summer and are not a long-lived perennial, so Aquilegia early Bird Blue and White can be replaced them every 3-4 years. Cut down stems once the flowering is over and Aquilegia early Bird Blue and White will re-appear next year. If Aquilegia early Bird Blue and White finds a good home, self-seeding can be counted upon and can be sown in early spring under glass.
