How to take care of Arenaria Montana
Arenaria Montana are hardy herbaceous plants that prefer sun but will tolerate some shade in warmer areas. Plant in a rich, cool, moisture retentive but well drained soil, loosen up the topsoil, and fertilise with some organic fertiliser once established. Dry soil can stunt growth. Your soil should be improved by adding compost and peat to make it slightly acidic. Let the plant die down naturally and divide every 3 to 4 years, in early spring. PLEASE NOTE: All parts of Arenaria Montana are harmful if eaten and can irritate the skin. Wear gloves when handling Arenaria Montana and should not be planted near vegetables.
Please soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant.
