BE CAREFUL HANDLING Berberis Golden Torch Hedge x5 AS IT HAS SHARP THORNS! For best results soak the roots for approx. 2 hrs. before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. Berberis Golden Torch Hedge x5 grows in almost any soil except waterlogged soil. Place in a sunny position as it will encourage fruiting and spectacular autumn colour although it will tolerate partial shade. This slow-growing shrub can take years to reach its full height. For hedging plant 4 shrubs per meter, this will create an dense impermeable hedge. Flowers are produced on new branches, prune back hard in spring removing all of the previous year’s branches to 3-4 pairs of live buds from the main stem.Berberis Golden Torch Hedge x5 can be invasive.
