Berberis atropurpurea thunbergii Bagatelle is a dwarf growing barbarry ideal for border fronts and rock gardens.
The foliage is deep purple red and the beautiful flowers are bright red during late spring.

How to take care of Thunbergii Bagatelle
BE CAREFUL HANDLING Thunbergii Bagatelle AS IT HAS SHARP THORNS! For best results soak the roots for approx. 2 hrs. before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. Thunbergii Bagatelle grows in almost any soil except waterlogged soil.
Place in a sunny position as it will encourage fruiting and spectacular autumn colour although it will tolerate partial shade. This slow-growing shrub can take years to reach its full height. For hedging plant 4 shrubs per meter, this will create an dense impermeable hedge.
Flowers are produced on new branches, prune back hard in spring removing all of the previous year’s branches to 3-4 pairs of live buds from the main stem.Thunbergii Bagatelle can be invasive.
