How to take care of Blue Grape Hyacinth Muscari Latifolium x 20
Muscari can be planted in rock gardens, borders and containers. Plant them in well-drained soil in a sheltered spot with full sun or if you plant in containers, then place them in a sunny location. Plant the bulbs approximately 10cm deep and 8cm apart, for maximum impact plant them in groups. Always water well after planting to stimulate growth. After flowering allow foliage to die back naturally as this will send nutrients to the bulbs for next years bloom. You may cut off the foliage later in the spring when the leaves are yellow and the plant is dormant. Divide clumps in July every 3-4 years. Muscari will naturalize and spread over time (i.e. come back year after year and gradually multiply).
