How to take care of Amaryllis Nymph 24/26
Plant the Amaryllis Nymph bulb up to three quarters of its height in the pot. Water well after planting and then not again until the leaves appear above the bulb. Attention: compost should never be waterlogged as Amaryllis Nymph bulbs will only produce leaves at the expense of flowers. Place the pots in direct sunlight at room temperature. Flowers appear 1-3 months after planting; depending how warm Amaryllis Nymph plants are kept and stage of flower development inside the bulb. After Care: After the Amaryllis Nymph flower fades, clip it off, leaving the green foliage. Treat the Amaryllis Nymph plant like a houseplant. Water regularly and fertilize. In summer, stop watering and let the plant dry out. In September remove the Amaryllis Nymph bulb from the pot, taking care not to damage the roots. Store the Amaryllis Nymph bulb in a cool dark place for about 8 to 10 weeks to rest. At the end of this time the Amaryllis Nymph bulb is ready to force into flower again. Repot the Amaryllis Nymph bulb in a pot only slightly larger in circumference than the bulb itself. Place it in a sunny spot and start watering. When the Amaryllis Nymph plant begins to grow again, start the feeding program again. You can prevent diseases by spraying with an anti fungicide or if the problem develops during the growing season apply weekly.
