How to take care of Clematis Tangutica
The Clematis Tangutica prefers a nutritious woody soil and a partial shade with, for example, half a day of sun. The base of the plant should always be in the shade. To achieve this, you could cover the carrots with potsherds.
Remove the pot and spread the carrots in a large hole of about 30x30x30cm. Mix the soil from the planting hole with some potting compost.
Press the soil firmly around the carrots and water generously. Provide a few sturdy bamboo poles, along which the plant can erect. Secure the tendrils. As soon as the plant starts to sprout, it will attach itself further with spiral grippers.
The Clematis Tangutica is a clematis that blooms on new shoots later in the year, so it can be pruned back at the beginning of spring. You can cut it back to half a meter above the ground.
In the spring and during flowering you can give some organic fertilizer.
