Cotoneaster franchetii
Franchet's Cotoneaster is a popular ornamental semi- evergreen shrub that produces masses of white flowers, during the summer followed by bright orange-red fruit in autumn.
Its dense foliage makes it sought after by pollinating insects. Its easy to maintain and is fast-growing.
Can also be used as a hedge, making it valuable shrub for both the gardener and the landscaper.

How to take care of Cotoneaster franchetii
For best results soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting, water well after planting and for the next few weeks until root system is established. Grows best in a well drained soil with low lime content.
Likes a sunny location. No pruning necessary but to keep the size of the plant in shape and to encourage the most colourful bark, remove a third of the stems back to ground level each spring to make bushier.
Fertilise in the growing season only.
