How to take care of Purpurea Pallida
Purpurea Pallida is a short-lived perennial which thrives in any reasonable garden soil, in a sunny, sheltered spot. Purpurea Pallida will tolerate dry and warm climates but do not allow Purpurea Pallida to dry out.
Stake the stems for support when necessary.
Remove dead flower heads to stimulate new growth. Cut Purpurea Pallida down to ground level in late autumn and apply a light mulch of well-composted chicken manure or leaf mould.
If supplied as bare roots: Please soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant.
