Euphorbia horrida also knowns as African milk barrel is a very strong spiny succulent with upright columns of uneven large blue-grey to grey-green clumping stems.

It also has clustered crowns of fierce spines much like the true cacti. Makes a great easy to care for houseplant suitable for a bright and sunny position.

How to take care of Euphorbia horrida

Position Euphorbia horrida in a bright sunny south-facing window. Euphorbia horrida need direct sunlight and moderate watering during their growing season. Allow the soil to dry out between each watering.

Feed with a little bit of some liquid fertiliser during the growing season. Euphorbia are quite fast growing plants and will need to be transplanted to a bigger pot every other year use free draining compost mixed with sand and add pebbles to the bottom of the pot to ensure extra drainage.
