Blackberry Triple Crown is one of the better thornless blackberries and gets the name “Triple Crown” from its three attributes: Very good tasting, high yielding and has a good disease resistant.

How to take care of Triple Crown Thornless

Soak the roots for approx. 2 hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. This is a hardy deciduous Triple Crown Thornless shrub thrives in a sunny sheltered position but will tolerate partial shade.

In colder areas, plant Triple Crown Thornless near a south-facing wall. Use a well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. They will not tolerate heavy, wet soil. Drought tolerant once established. Triple Crown Thornless do well in various soil types.

Triple Crown Thornless likes to be constantly moist, but not wet. Do not use any stimulants, fertiliser or bonemeal at planting time as such products will 'burn' any new root growth. During the active growing season an occasional feed or a light top dress with a base fertiliser will prove beneficial.

Container-grown Triple Crown Thornless plants should be brought indoors in extreme winter conditions. Check Triple Crown Thornless plants periodically for pests such as aphids, white flies, and mealy bugs.

Use a horticultural oil or insecticidal soap to control these pests.
