How to take care of Geranium sanguineum
Plant Geranium sanguineum in any reasonable garden soil. Plant Geranium sanguineum at the recommended depth in sunny to partially shady areas. Geranium sanguineum should not be allowed to dry out; in very dry summers make sure that Geranium sanguineum are frequently watered. Remove dead flower heads as they appear to encourage new growth. Cutting back old flowering stems keeps Geranium sanguineum tidy and will encourage a further flush of flowers and will prevent over-seeding. Divide clumps in early spring or late autumn. If supplied as bare roots please soak them for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant.
