How to take care of X Intermedia Diane

For best results soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting and follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Hamamelis grows best in a shady spot planted in a well-drained acidic soil.

It's slow growing and often becomes wide as they can get fairly tall. They need pruning/trimming every 2-3 years in winter, immediately after flowering. Feed with a general-purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.

The curious petals withstand even the most serious frost without injury.
