How to Plant Brodiaea

Brodiaea is a small bulbous plant with great flowers.
Plant the bulbs freely in drifts throughout your border in well prepared loosened up topsoil. Planting depth approx 4- 5 cm  ( 2 ")  They like a sunny position.

Brodiaea can be planted either in Autumn - Fall or in Spring.
For Autumn- Fall planting;  plant the bulbs at a depth of 5 cm (2"), and give it a good mulch to avoid frost damage.

For Spring planting a mulch is not required but might help to reduce loss of moisture in warmer areas. Brodiaea makes excellent cut flowers for in the vase the lenght of the stem can be up to 50 cm ( 20 ")
