How to take care of Baya Marisa

This red-fleshed apple grows well in any fertile garden soil. Soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before transplanting. Choose a spot in direct sunlight where it will eventually grow into a fairly large tree.

Prepare a large planting hole and loosen the soil. Improve poor garden soil by adding compost and fertilizer. Place the root ball at the same height in the planting hole as it was in the pot. Next to the root ball push a stake firmly into the ground for support.

Fill the planting hole with soil and press firmly. Water it well after planting and for the next few weeks. Harvest fruits in September and the apples can be stored until January. You can also plant the red fleshy apple tree in a large flowerpot or planter.

If grown in a pot the tree’s eventual height will be much smaller.
