They are clump-forming perennial plants with deep rich, glossy fern-like foliage which is finely dissected with crinkly-edges. They are very strong, hardy and slow spreading.

How to take care of Astilbe Fiery Red
Plant Astilbe Fiery Red in well-prepared moist soil; mix the topsoil with 50% potting compost. Plant the tubers according to the instruction on the package not showing above the ground and cover well. Astilbe Fiery Red prefer a sunny to partially shady position and must not be allowed to dry out.
In warmer climates a thick mulch layer of well-rotted manure helps the soil to retain moisture, and in colder areas it will help protect again frost damage. Flowers will appear all summer. Divide well-established clumps every 4 years.
