Taxus baccata aurea David is a new variety that is just like the Irish yew, it forms an upright, narrow column and has fantastic young golden yellow foliage fading slightly as it matures.
It is a relative slow grower and because of its toughness, versatility and tolerance of pruning, makes it a popular choice for hedges, foundation plantings, or screening.

How to take care of Taxus Baccata aurea David
In general : Taxus Baccata Aurea David dislike wet feet, therefore plant in well-drained soil which has been improved with some compost, you can improve soil drainage by mixing in some sand or grit to the planting holes. Taxus Baccata Aurea David have strong preference for sandy, acidic soils. At the start of winter water the Taxus Baccata Aurea David well so that they go into the winter with a moisture boost. As Taxus Baccata Aurea David are evergreen trees, they keep on dehydrating all winter long. Avoid shading the base of the plant to prevent the lower part also turning brown - it does not stand shade. Do not apply fertilizer until your trees have been in the ground for at least 6 -8 weeks. It could burn the new roots. During Feb and March add some Natural Kieserite (Magnesium Sulphate) on top of the soil to improve the foliage colour, if you cannot obtain it, organic fertilizer will suffice.
