Campsis radicans Madame Galen is a hybrid between Campsis radicans and Campsis grandiflora. This exotic looking, deciduous climber produces multiple clusters of large salmon- red trumpet-shaped flowers for months during summer, it's pinnate foliage is deep green. It is self-clinging and grows best trained up against a wall or a fence; this variety needs plenty of room to climb. For lots of flowers cut it back hard in spring after frosts.

How to take care of Campsis tagliabuana Madame Galen
For best results soak the roots for approx. 2 hrs. before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. For best results plant Campsis tagliabuana Madame Galen in a sheltered sunny position preferably with the protection of a wall. Plant Campsis tagliabuana Madame Galen it in limey, well-drained soil. Campsis tagliabuana Madame Galen is self-clinging but young plants should be tied to supports until aerial roots have taken hold. Water it frequently during the summer. Flowers are produced on new wood, prune back hard in late winter or early spring by removing all of the previous year’s branches to 3-4 pairs of live buds from the main stem, this will encourage it to bloom again. Can be invasive and winter hardiness can be a problem.
