Sanseveria strong indoor plant
The Sanseveria is a beautiful and strong houseplant and again completely hip. He is easy to take care of. Not too big so always a suitable place in the house. And for the non-green finger, this plant survives almost everything.
Watering Sansevieria
Sansevierias use very little water. The "only" way to kill a lady's tongue is to overwater the houseplant. When in doubt, it is therefore better not to water. It is important that all soil is well dried before the Sansevieria water again. Otherwise there is a risk of root rot. The plant can die from it over time. In winter, the Sansevieria can safely go 6-8 weeks without water. During the growth period (spring and summer) once every 2 weeks is sufficient. During a heat wave, the Sansevieria can receive extra water. The amount depends, among other things, on the size of the pot and the light intensity. The larger the pot, the more water the soil can absorb. In addition, a Sansevieria for a south-facing window needs 2-3 times more water than a houseplant for a north-facing window. Check the soil regularly by pushing your finger up to two fingers deep into the soil. If the soil is still very wet after 3 days, water less.
