How to take care of Coastal shrub garden
Soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting, water well after planting and for the next few weeks. Apply some organic fertiliser from next year in the spring, and protect from severe frosts with a layer of mulch.Buddleja - Prune hard in March (after the 1st year). Prune back to two inches from the old wood. Ceanothus - little pruning is required, but if you need to prune, then do this in winter or early spring. Viburnum - pruning: is not really necessary, you may take out old and damaged branches in spring to ground level.Euonymus -prune hard to encourage new growth at any time except spring. Pinch out the tips of shoots to encourage bushy growth.
