This attractive columnar tree Euphorbia trigona Rubra is also known as the 'African milk tree' and has shiny red spines like cow horns arranged in perfectly spaced rows spreading laterally along the 4 corners of its columns and attractive red leaves sprouting from its ridges.
This Euphorbia is quite fast growing and a highly sought after variety, in mild warm climates in can be grown outdoors otherwise it is more commonly grown as a houseplant.
It isn't an actual cactus, but it looks a lot like one

How to take care of Euphorbia trigona Rubra
Position Euphorbia trigona Rubra in a bright sunny south-facing window. Euphorbia trigona Rubra need direct sunlight and moderate watering during their growing season. Allow the soil to dry out between each watering. Feed with a little bit of some liquid fertiliser during the growing season. Euphorbia are quite fast growing plants and will need to be transplanted to a bigger pot every other year use free draining compost mixed with sand and add pebbles to the bottom of the pot to ensure extra drainage.
