How to take care of Anemone blanda blue + Basket
These beautiful early-flowering purple-blue windflowers are suitable for rockeries or can also be grown as pot plants. They can also be naturalised in your lawn. The flowers are up to 5cm wide. Anemone Blanda Corms should be soaked in water for 12 hours prior to planting and require full sun or preferably partial shade and well-drained humus-rich soil. These anemones will tolerate hot dry conditions during their summer dormancy. Flowering period: from early spring to late spring. If planted in spring they will flower a bit later in their first season. Apply the soil in the basket. Mix with potting compost if necessary. Plant the Anemone Blanda bulbs at a depth of 5 cm and with a spacing of approx.5 cm' Frost protection: cover the basket with some bubble wrapping during frosty weather.Flowering Period is spring-early summer.
Place the compressed soil tablet(s) in a bucket and add 1 pint of water per tablet to dissolve them. Mix the soil around until you have a fine structure. Press the fertilizer tablet with your finger into the soil until it's top is just about covered by the soil. The tablet will last for up to 6 months, slowly releasing nutrients.
