How to take care of Allium moly x 20
As a general rule –Plant Allium moly in good light well-drained soil at a depth of 3 times the height of the bulb. Large flowering Alliums prefer full sun, but all other Alliums will tolerate partial shade. Allium moly dislike been disturbed, so leave Allium moly for few years untouched. Divide clumps in autumn every 3-4 years of so. You can improve heavy soil by mixing in some builders sand. Place Allium moly bulbs with the 'nose' upward into the soil. Always water well after planting to stimulate growth. For best results, as the buds materialize, add a high potash liquid feed in early spring to fertilize. Allow foliage to die back naturally as this will send nutrients to Allium moly bulbs for next year’s bloom. Please note to survive harsh winters apply a mulch (straw or newspaper) over them to avoid any frost damage. Remove when all danger of frost has passed.
