How to take care of Hyacinth collection with Victorian Glass
Indoors: Fill the planter with the compost and plant the Hyacinth collection with Victorian Glass bulbs just below the soil surface, then place the planter in a dark cupboard at a modest temperature. Water lightly every week for 6-8 weeks. When the sprouts are approx. 10cm remove the planter from the cupboard and force the Hyacinth collection with Victorian Glass bulbs into bloom at room temperature. Outside: Plant Hyacinth collection with Victorian Glass in free draining but moist soil in sun or partial shade. Perfect for borders or planters. Add some organic fertilizer on top of the soil after planting and let this soak into the ground. ATTENTION: The dust from Hyacinth collection with Victorian Glass may cause some itching, just wash it away and apply some skin cream if this happens, it will go away quickly. FORCING HYACINTHS IN GLASS: When Hyacinth collection with Victorian Glass are planted in glasses they must have an identical period in the cold and dark. Fill the glass with water. Keep a very thin layer (1 MM) of air between the roots of the bulb and the water surface. Place a cover ( made out a paper bag) over the top of the bulb. Place the Hyacinth collection with Victorian Glass bulb with the glass in a dark cupboard at a modest temperature 9-11 weeks. Check the water level regularly and fill if necessary. When the sprout is about 4".( 8-10cm) in length, place the set into daylight and force the bulb into bloom at room temperature APPROX. 18-20 DEGREES CELSIUS
