How to take care of Ixia Giant x 20
Ixia Giant are not very hardy so make sure they are planted in the warmest part of the garden. Plant Ixia Giant in well-drained prepared soil in a sheltered spot with full sun or if you plant in flower pots, then place Ixia Giant in a sunny location. If you have heavy soil you can improve it by using mix in some coarse builders sand. Always water well after planting and sparingly until shoots appear, feed monthly from spring with a liquid fertiliser. Allow the foliage to die down naturally after flowering. To survive harsh winters apply a mulch (straw or newspaper) over them to avoid any frost damage. Remove when all danger of frost has passed.
