Kordia is an exciting new black cherry tree variety. It's a deciduous fruit tree producing nodding, white flowers in mid-spring followed by masses of small, edible glossy dark fruits in summer.
The firm flesh has a delightfully sweet delicious flavour and is reasonably resistant to cracking in rainy weather.
Supplied as a standard specimen, suitable for smaller gardens.

How to take care of Cherry Tree prunus avium Kordia 80
Usually deciduous trees are pruned in winter when dormant but summer pruning of stone fruits is more beneficial. The warmer and drier the weather is; will help to promote faster healing and reduce the chance of fungal or bacterial infections. The main annual pruning can be done out as soon as the fruit is harvested. Any inward growing laterals, or crossing shoots can be removed whenever you notice them.
