How to take care of Echinacea purpurea Pallida
This popular perennial thrives in any reasonable garden soil, in a sunny, sheltered spot. Add organic fertiliser pellets at planting time. Stake the stems for support when necessary. Remove dead flower heads to stimulate new growth. The Coneflowers are excellent for fresh or dried flower arrangements. Cut the plants down to ground level in late autumn. Please soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant.
