Oenothera speciosa siskiyou is a species of evening primrose, as the name suggests they only open late afternoon when the sun has set. It is less invasive and shorter than O. speciosa, but still a fast running plant that can quickly spread producing masses of fragrant light pink flowers. Ideal for hot, dry slopes. Blooms are excellent for indoor arrangements.

How to take care of Oenothera speciosa siskiyou
Plant Oenothera speciosa siskiyou in light or loamy well-drained soil. Oenothera speciosa siskiyou will thrive when planted in a full sun position. For best results mulch around the stems in spring. Water during dry spells in and summer. While it makes an attractive garden plant, care should be taken with it as it can become invasive, spreading by runners and seeds. Cut the stems down to ground level after flowering to prevent them from producing the seeds. Divide clumps every few years in spring.
