Coreopsis is a herbaceous perennial ideal for providing a late summer boost and extend the flowering season. From June to September Coreopsis prolifically produces a succession of finely divided leaves and bright lemon-yellow, single daisy-like flower-heads. The large blooms can be used for cutting.
The dainty flowers will also attract bees and butterflies to your garden. Coreopsis look good with the blue, summer-flowering nepetas as well as blue or purple salvias.

How to take care of Coreopsis Grandiflorum Early Sunrise
Plant in drifts through the border. Easily grown in medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Avoid poorly-drained heavy clay soils. They have very little drought tolerance and need consistently moist soils in order to thrive. Removing faded flowers will encourage new growth which will extend the blooming period and prevent any unwanted self-seeding. Cut the shoots down to ground level in autumn. Can be an aggressive spreader. Dividing every 2 to 3 years in the spring or autumn is advisable. No serious insect or disease problems. Crown rot may occur if grown in moist, poorly drained soils.
