How to take care of Hemerocallis daylily Intermediair
Before planting soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). Plant in full sun or part shade in moist soil (they like best moist conditions but will tolerate dryer soils). Prepare the planting area by digging a hole larger than the root ball, plant at a depth of (10cm) 4" and space (20-30cm) 8-12" apart. Spread the roots out. Plant so that the crown is level with the surface of the soil. Apply some organic fertiliser on top of the soil. Remove withered flower heads regularly. A good mulch of wood chips or bark will help to preserve the moisture in the summer. Divide if necessary every 3 - 4 years and replant.
