This dramatic Clematis produces unusual purple-blue double flowers spring to mid spring to mid summer. The delightful blooms open up layer by layer, about a layer a day. Grow over walls, trellises and arches or in containers on terraces and balconies.
This variety belongs to early large flowering prune group 2 that needs to be pruned in late winter or early spring and after its first flush of flowers in summer, this will encourage it to flower again later in summer.
