How to take care of Ceanothus Yankee Point
For best results soak the roots for approx. 2 hrs. before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks until the roots become established. Choose a shelter sunny position, preferable against a south or west-facing wall. Applying a general balanced fertilizer in spring after pruning will encourage new growth. When planted in exposed situations Ceanothus Yankee Point can be affected by wind and frost injury. If this happens just prune back any frost damaged stems to healthy wood. Avoid excess moisture levels as they can damage the roots which leads to poor growth. If Ceanothus Yankee Point is planted too shallow on chalky soils Ceanothus Yankee Point can suffer from yellowing of the leaves between the veins (chlorosis).
