How to take care of Tulip Poppy papaver glaucum
Poppies have excessively delicate root systems and do not like to be moved about much at all, so transplanting has a tendency to kill them. For best results sow them directly outdoors in late winter or early spring. Sow seeds near the surface, they need light to germinate gently rake the surface of the soil after the seeds to help them stay in place. They require a very sunny sheltered location and will grow happily in most garden soils. They flower July- September growing up to 90cm.The seeds are harmful if eaten.
