How to take care of Sage seed
Plant March-April indoors or seedbed outdoors. Transfer partially developed seedlings to larger pots before their roots become too entwined and plant out when the plants are approx 10cm. Sage likes to be planted in a sunny, sheltered spot in well drained soil. May need to be staked to support the stems. Add a few handfuls of bonemeal to the surrounding soil at the beginning and end of summer. After the flowers have died prune plants to about half their size.
